The In-Year Application Process

Applications for in-year places at Knights Primary are handled via our local authority, Lewisham Council.

• 1. Haberdashers' Knights Primary will operate a waiting list for applications submitted for years other than the normal year of entry should the cohort be at capacity.
• 2. Knights Primary will consider all such applications and if the year group applied for has a place available, admit the child unless one of the permitted reliefs applies.
• 3. If more applications are received than there are places available, the oversubscription criteria shall apply. 
• 4. The waiting list will operate until the end of the academic year. If, at the end of the academic year parents wish their children to be considered for entry to the subsequent year group, they will be required to re-apply for a space through the Local Authority.

 Knights Primary participates in Lewisham LA’s In Year Fair Access Protocol and children may be prioritised over those children on the waiting list for admission under this protocol.
