At Knights Primary, our computing curriculum aims to equip pupils with the life-long skills that will enable them to embrace and utilise new technology in a socially responsible and safe way. Our curriculum equips pupils with computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. We recognise that technology is rapidly changing and we ensure pupils learn up-to-date skills using a range of programs and technologies. Technology helps broaden pupils’ horizons by opening them to a range of possibilities in a digital world. By becoming autonomous, digitally literate users of computing technologies, we aim to develop pupils who are analytical, creative, critical thinkers and problem solvers. Now more than ever, we understand that providing children with the digital thinking knowledge and skills is absolutely essential, in order for them to operate in an ever changing and advancing society.
