CORONAVIRUS UPDATES

Update - September 2021

Following the latest Government guidance regarding managing Coronavirus in Schools we will be adopting the following to ensure any disruption to our pupils education is kept to an absolute minimum.

It remains the priority of Knights Primary to deliver high quality face-to-face education to all our pupils.

• Self Isolation: Pupils in primary school do not have to self-isolate unless they develop symptoms/test positive for Covid-19.  If someone in their household, or a close contact, tests positive for Covid-19, pupils do not have to self-isolate.  They are expected to attend school as normal and undertake a PCR test.

• Closure of Classes: Classes will not close if a pupil has tested positive for Covid-19.  Pupils must attend as normal. You are advised to contact NHS test and trace if your child tests positive for Covid-19.

• Bubbles: The school will no longer operate with ‘bubbles’.

• Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV): All clinically extremely vulnerable pupils should attend school unless specifically advised not to by a clinician/specialist.

As a school, we will continue to comply with Health and Safety Law by regularly reviewing and updating our ongoing risk assessment as circumstances and advice changes.

Please can all families complete a short form to help us keep our information up to date. If families have more than one child – they will need to complete this form for each child.
