Science has helped form the world that we live in today. We want our children to think about science not as a subject but as a way of life and to become passionate investigators and enquire about the world around them. Our aim is to make the children confident communicators, making connections and building knowledge about our community, local area and our planet.
We want our children to look to the past for inspiration, work at solving problems in the present and think boldly ahead to an exciting future full of possibilities. We will equip our children with the knowledge required to understand the uses and implications of science. To develop our children into confident young scientists, we want them to understand that the small details help to form the big picture in science.
We aim to provide our children with scientific knowledge and experiences that can be transferred to all areas of their education. We want to develop understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science through different types of enquiries that help them to answer scientific questions about the world around them. Through science, we broaden horizons so children can see the possibilities of human discovery.
Our children will be empowered citizens of the world, confidently making decisions based on their deep knowledge and understanding of science whatever they encounter in their lives.
